Friends of the Aina Haina Public Library Holiday Book Sale

Friends of the Aina Haina Public Library will hold a 2-Day Holiday Book Sale on Friday and Saturday, November 14-15. The sale will be from 10:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m.

Holiday shoppers can find specially priced items such as gift quality books, collectibles, DVDs and CDs. All items are individually priced.

Friends of the Aina Haina Public Library is a volunteer organization which helps support the library through its Annual Book Sale, the Year-Round Sale, and Weekly Mini-Sales. Funds from the sales supplement the purchase of library materials, in addition to subsidizing adult, teen and children's summer reading programs, weekly preschool story hour, and presentations, which have included music, theatre, crafts, health, financial planning, elder care, and various subjects of interest for all age groups.

Members of the Friends work throughout the year sorting book donations and promoting community awareness of the library's services and activities. New volunteers are always welcome and anyone interested in becoming a member of the Friends should speak with someone at the Aina Haina Library Reference Desk.

The Aina Haina Public Library is located at 5246 Kalanianaole Highway in the Aina Haina Shopping Center.

The mission of the Hawaii State Public Library System is to provide Hawaii's residents, in all walks of life, and at each stage of their lives, with access to education, information, programs and services, and to teach and nurture the love of reading and the habit of life-long learning.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
