LEGAL ISSUES AFFECTING OUR KUPUNA

Kaimuki Public Library

The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii in partnership with the University of Hawaii Elder Law Program (UHELP) will provide free legal information on issues affecting our seniors. Attorney Neva Keres will offer a brief overview on advance health care directives, estate planning, and power of attorneys. Ms. Keres is an attorney in private practice and provides assistance to the University of Hawaii Elder Law Program at the William S. Richardson School of Law. She is a graduate of the John Marshall Law School and is a member of the Hawaii State Bar. This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 18 and older. Sponsored by the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, University of Hawaii's Elder Law Program, State Justice Institute and the Hawaii State Public Library System.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.

Loan Renewals:
On person with library material or call 733-8422, then press "0" -- have your library material with you when calling. For online renewals, use www.librarieshawaii.org and "my account" and your library card no.
