It's baaaaack!
Free Comic Book Day is coming to 20 public library branches statewide on the first Saturday in May! Just show your valid HSPLS card at any participating branch and receive a free comic book of your choice, while supplies last. This is the fourteenth anniversary of HSPLS' participation in this annual all-ages event. Comic book selections this year will include Avengers, Pokemon, Attack on Titan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Secret Wars, and much more! Selections vary by branch.
BRING YOUR CAMERA! Costumed characters from the Pacific Outpost of the 501st Imperial Legion, Rebel Legion Hawaii, and Costumers Guild of Hawaii will be appearing at select libraries. Contact your host library for appearance times and more information.
Free Comic Book Day is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i, Gecko Books & Comics, and Collector Maniacs. For more information, contact a participating library.

ABOUT KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY
The mission of the Hawaii State Public Library System is to provide Hawaii's residents, in all walks of life, and at each stage of their lives, with access to education, information, programs and services, and to teach and nurture the love of reading and the habit of life-long learning.

Mon - 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Tues - 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Wed. - 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Thurs.- 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Fri , Sat & State Holidays - Closed
Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
