"GOING GREEN IS A POPULAR COMMUNITY EVENT!"

Kaimuki High School to Host Recycling Day

October 17, 2015, Saturday

9:00 AM -- 1:00 PM

2705 Kaimuki Ave.

The public is welcomed to a one-stop drop-off recycling community clean up day

Items to be collected include:

Scrap metal, computers, monitors, printers, scanners, and 1 tv per car; HI-5 beverage containers, used household cooking oil, cell phones, printer cartridges, all kinds of batteries, usable clothing, used eyeglasses and hearing aids, towels, blankets, prom dresses, women's business suits, canned good for Hawaii Food Bank.

4 incandescent lightbulbs will be swapped for 4 CFLs.

Free towing of unwanted cars, call 291-6151.

NO PAINT, TIRES, MOTOR OIL, HAZARDOUS FLUIDS, CARDBOARD, PAPER, PLASTICS, WOOD AND BULKY ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

• Recycle Bins in Kaimuki Area
  Some schools in the Kaimuki area have set up Community Recycling Bins that you can help support. Each month, these participating schools receive a check from City Department of Environmental Services for the recyclable materials collected in their bins. By taking your recyclables (aluminum cans, glass bottles & jars, plastic containers, newspapers, cardboard, etc) to these Recycling Bins, you also help support the school's fundraising efforts.
