What the Fall?!

Where did the time go? I turn around, summer is gone, and fall is here (my girlfriend may refer to this as boot or sweater weather). I can't complain though as it was filled with lots of great opportunities to perform as well as I got a lot of surfing in. Now is the time to work on what's next and that is creating new, original music. So if you don't see me for a little bit it is because my head is staring down on the mixing board in my studio.

I did take a quick break to collaborate with musician/producer, Gerard Gonzales, who was nominated for a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award this past year with his unique Metal Kalikimaka album. Here's my very different version of "Wonderful Christmastime," for Gerard's Metal Kalikimaka 2. I have to be honest. Up until recording the song, I had never heard of it! About The Artist.

Ka'imi Hanano'eau was born on the Windward side of O'ahu and raised on Maui. He began playing the ukulele at the age of five, and by age 14, was performing professionally. When he graduated from high school, he already mastered a variety of instruments including ukulele, bass, guitar, piano and Tahitian percussion. Ka'imi graduated with a B.A. in Music (Major) and Hawaiian Studies (Minor), and trained in the Bel Canto vocal style with Neva Rego. His style of music includes rock, alternative, reggae, Hawaiian, jazz, and more. With a shy and humble personality, he is often referred to as the "invisible musician" when handling sound and light production for fellow artists.
