In Celebration of National Library Week

THE ART OF TAIKO

Taiko master Kenny Endo and members of the Taiko Center of the Pacific will demonstrate taiko in group and festival drumming. Mr. Endo and his taiko ensembles have performed extensively all over the United States, Japan, and throughout the world. This one-hour program is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

This cultural performance is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, Hawaiian Electric Companies, Meadow Gold Dairies, HMS Host, Hansen Distribution Group, Roberts Hawaii, Aloha United Way, Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Rotary Club of Windward Oahu, and Mitsunaga & Associates, Inc. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College's Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii.

ABOUT KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY
The mission of the Hawaii State Public Library System is to provide Hawaii's residents, in all walks of life, and at each stage of their lives, with access to education, information, programs and services, and to teach and nurture the love of reading and the habit of life-long learning.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
