Akamai About Credit Reports, Credit Scores and the Credit Reporting Act (3 Elective Credits)

~The Akamai About Credit Reports, Credit Scores and the Fair Credit Reporting Act seminar will thoroughly explain the inner workings of the credit reporting and credit scoring industry to permit realtors to better guide clients experiencing credit reporting inaccuracies and other problems. The seminar will also explain brand new requirements under federal laws that apply to property managers and their landlords accessing the credit reports of potential tenants.

Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

2015-2016 CORE - Part A Condominiums - Structure & Sales (4 Elective Credits)

(The 2015-2016 mandatory course will be 8 hours, an increase from last biennium's 5 hours. The course is in 2 parts, A & B. Part B will be available in 2016)

Instructor: Mark D. Clement, Esq.

Mark is a licensed attorney in the State of Hawaii with 25 years' experience litigating for clients in matters related to real estate, landlord-tenant, trust administration, business disputes, credit reporting and general civil litigation. While continuing his practice as an attorney, he enjoys teaching realtors about a multitude of issues and laws, new and long standing, that may arise during their professional practice. Mr. Clement uses examples from his experiences as an attorney in mediation, arbitration and in the courts to assist realtors to proactively avoid legal problems. Mr. Clement is a graduate of St. Louis High School (1983), University of Notre Dame (B.S. Economics/Philosophy 1987) and University of Oregon (J.D. 1990).

Final Exam: Friday, September 11th from 1 pm-5 pm

11 day course!

Begins on September 14th!

End Date: Monday, September 28th

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-5 pm

Final Exam: Monday, September 28th from 9 am-1 pm

Cost: $1,075.00 (includes book and taxes)

Broker Requirement

Instructor: Scott Alan Bly, Esq.

Scott has over 20 years of experience practicing law and teaching real estate law, specifically teaching under Dower School of Real Estate for more than 10 years. In addition, he has written a superb Hawaii real estate book entitled, Hawaii Real Estate Reference Manual, which is used in the prelicensing classes that he teaches.

Scott is extremely involved with Dower School of Real Estate as a prelicensing instructor for the salesperson's and broker's classes, as well as teaching continuing education. He focuses on being interactive with the class while combining his deft knowledge with humor which leads to a strong rapport with his students.
