Bikram Yoga is a unique sequence of movements performed in a hot room that can help reverse the aging process, improve your overall physical and mental health, and increase flexibility and balance.
Change is the only constant in the universe. Your body and mind are guaranteed to change over time. How it changes, whether it's for the better or worse, is completely up to you.
To help you change for the better, Bikram Yoga Honolulu offers a Beginner's Hatha (also known as the "science of will") Yoga Class, designed by Bikram Choudbury, to keep your body healthy and mind strong.
Bikram's Hatha Yoga Class is designed for beginners or people who have never done any form of yoga before. The class consists of 26 Hatha yoga postures that systematically stretches every part of the body helping to increase oxygen levels and the flow of blood, alleviate body pains and dis-ease, and rejuvenate and revitalize muscles, nerves, tendons, joints and organs.
If you're looking to get rid of your "chronic dis-ease" symptoms or just want to maintain a healthy lifestyle, please contact us or sign up for classes online. We look forward to seeing you in class!
Who is Bikram?
In 1950, at the age of four, Bikram began the study of yoga at Bishnu Ghosh's College of Physical Education located in Calcutta. Ghosh was one of the first to scientifically document the practice of yoga and its ability to cure chronic physical ailments. Bikram was only 13 years old when he won the 1959 National India Yoga Championship and remained undefeated for the next three years.
"Mental stress and strain are the cause of all disease and even infections ones
- Bishnu Gosh
After an injury from a weightlifting accident doctors feared Bikram would never walk again. Bikram returned to Ghosh's school and developed this method to heal and in six months Bikram had totally recovered. Ghosh encouraged Bikram to start several schools in India and he has since brought his curative methods of yoga therapy to schools around the world.

Heat = Perspiration = Detox:
The heat helps to warm your muscles so you can reshape your body. It also helps to thin your blood which increases the blood circulation. Improved blood circulation = More oxygen to the entire body = Improved health.
PLEASE NOTE: Bikram Yoga Honolulu does not allow pregnant students to participate without prior consent from Alexis Inso.
