About Annual Kaimuki Christmas Parade

We invite you to start the holiday season with us on Thursday, December 5, 2024 starting at 6pm. It will go east on Waialae Avenue from Chaminade/St. Louis to Koko Head Avenue. There will be marching bands, scout troops, schools, businesses, walkers, trollies -- and, of course, Santa! Put it on your calendar now!

Please note: Priority is given to KBPA members, sponsors, Kaimuki businesses and organizations.

As has been the tradition for many years past, the annual Kaimuki Christmas Parade will march up Waialae Avenue from St. Louis School/Chaminade University to Koko Head Avenue. Featured are the local elementary and high schools, businesses, several bands, girl and boy scouts, local healthcare facilities, our legislators and council representatives, the Fire Department, motorcycle groups, dogs, clowns, and, of course, Santa! Please be aware of the traffic congestion that will result as the parade marches up Waialae Avenue. This is a Kaimuki event that many look forward to every year.

  • Approximately 40 Kaimuki businesses, schools bands, and community groups participating this year.

Traffic/Bus Advisory:

  • Waialae will be closed one hour prior, which would be 5 pm.
  • Two Diamond Head bound lanes on the makai side of Waiale Avenue will be closed and traffic will be contra-flowed on the remaining mauka lanes from 3rd Avenue to Koko Head Avenue. Motorists should expect traffic delays along Waialae Avenue and side streets for the hour plus duration of the parade.
  • City buses will be DETOURED...get the details

About KBPA: The Kaimuki Business & Professional Association was formed in 1946 to address the needs of Kaimuki's business community. KBPA sponsors a number of annual events that bring together businesses, professionals, and the community including the Kaimuki Christmas Parade (one of the oldest in the state), the Halloween Costume contest, the Easter Egg Hunt, and the KBPA Academic Scholarship.
