• Learn about Recycling through Music and Songs at Aina Haina Library

Storyteller-Balladeer James McCarthy will present "Talkin' Trash," a free recycling education program, at Aina Haina Public Library on Saturday, December 11 at 11 a.m. in the Meeting Room.

McCarthy, who is also a multi-talented actor, musician and educator, will perform lively music and songs as he presents the three main reasons for recycling:

• Earn money
  
• Help create new things
  
• Take care of our island and our earth

The City and County of Honolulu Recycling Teaching Partners Program is sponsoring the program in conjunction with the award-winning Green Channel "Opalavision" Display which can be viewed this month at Wahiawa Public Library (telephone: 622-6345). The one-hour program is suitable for all ages.

Contact Aina Haina Public Library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed. The Library is located at 5246 Kalanianaole Highway. For more information, please call the Library at 377-2456.
