The following Friday, November 17, the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet Band displays their virtuosity in a diverse chamber music showcase.

About the U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific - Small Kine
The Small Kine ensemble is made up of five members and features guitar, ukulele, bass, percussion and vocals. They'll be performing all-acoustic arrangements of such pieces as "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band, "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" (Shawn Mendes), "3AM" (Matchbox Twenty), and "Bad Blood" (Taylor Swift).
This vibrant and dynamic musical group performs concerts throughout the Hawaiian Island chain, the Pacific region, and also performs at high-level events on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Through these performances Small Kine uses music to advance international relationships and inspire positive and long-lasting impressions of the Air Force and the United States of America.
About the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet Band's Chamber Music Showcase
The diverse program presented by the Pacific Fleet Band on November 17 includes Gabrieli's "Canzona No. 2" performed by their Double Brass Quintet, "Tubamobile" by their Tuba-Euphonia Quartet, "Over the Rainbow" by their Saxophone Quintet, and "Voodoo Groove" by their Stowaway Brass Band (New Orleans Style Brass Band). The evening's narration will relate the music to Veterans' Day, the Centennial of World War I, and National Pearl Harbor Day.
