Midsummer Night's Gleam to dazzle Foster Botanical Garden this Saturday
HONOLULU -- As the sun sets this upcoming Saturday, a nighttime spectacle in one of Urban Honolulu's lushest gardens will come to life!
The annual Midsummer Night's Gleam at Foster Botanical Garden will host plenty of family friendly activities, colorful performances, and thousands of dazzling light displays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. The event is free and open to the public.
The botanical garden will be closed from 12 noon until 4 p.m. for set up prior to the event. Regular botanical garden rules apply during this event, and while picnicking is encouraged, no tents, tables, grills, large/tall chairs, or large coolers are allowed.
Free parking for the event is available at Borthwick Mortuary and Kauluwela Elementary School. The Foster Botanical Garden parking lot will be reserved for VIPs and vehicles with properly marked ADA placards. Visitors are encouraged to arrive at the botanical garden using alternative means of transportation, such as walking, biking, riding The Bus, or car-share.
With this year's theme of "Stars Above the Sahara Sky," those attending are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.
For online copies of the program, event map, and a parking map please visit the special Midsummer Night's Gleam webpage at honolulu.gov/parks. We hope to see you in the garden!
