REGULAR MEETING AGENDA

Rules of Speaking: Anyone wishing to speak is asked to raise their hand, and when recognized by the Chair, to address comments to the Chair. Speakers are encouraged to keep their comments under three (3) minutes, and those giving reports are urged to keep their reports under three (3) minutes. Please silence all electronic devices.

Note: The Board may take action on any agenda item. As required by the State Sunshine Law (HRS 92), specific issues not noted on this agenda cannot be voted on, unless added to the agenda. A two-thirds (2/3) vote (8) of this 11-member Board is needed to add an item to the agenda. Items may not be added if they are of major importance and will affect a significant number of people.

II. CITY/STATE MONTHLY REPORTS (Limited to three (3) minutes each)

IV. PUBLIC INPUT: LIMITED TO THREE (3) MINUTES EACH.
Items that are not listed on the agenda may be discussed but no Board action may be taken. Please fill out our form on the table for our Neighborhood Assistant.

V. PRESENTATIONS: Limited to (10) minutes each
A. Update on Tree Root Mitigation Research, Dr. Andrew Kaufman, Department of Tropical 
Plant and Soil Sciences, College of Tropical Agriculture & Human Resources, 
University of Hawai’i at Manoa

VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS: 
A. Kaimuki Business & Professional Association and Kapiolani Community College will be hosting Cybersecurity experts at their monthly meeting to be held Friday, October 18, 2019 at Epiphany Church, 1041 10th Ave, Honolulu, 11:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
B. RAIL! NOTE: CHANGE OF DATE: On Monday, October 28, 2019. Honolulu Authority for Rail Transportation will be presenting an update of the Rail project by Bill Brennan and would welcome 
input from the community. It will be at Kaimuki Christian Church, Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m.

X. NEXT MEETING OF THIS BOARD
A. The next regular meeting of the Kaimuki Neighborhood Board will be on November 20, 2019 at 6:30 pm at Kaimuki Christian Church, Fellowship Hall. 
B. Arbor Day Hawaii will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at five (5) sites on Oahu, Honolulu, Pearl City, Wahiawa, Kailua and Hale'iwa, all starting at 9:00 a.m. Please check website for more details https://arbordayhawaii.org/
