The 2019 Land & Sea Festival is a free, youth and family-centric event for communities across the Island of O‘ahu to come together to celebrate the ʻāina, empower youth to have a voice in climate change action, and prepare our island to be resilient and self-sufficient.
The festival is being organized by Connections Oceania, Action Plan 101, and Hawaiʻi Feast, a Honolulu and Seattle collaborative. This festival is sponsored by St. Andrew’s Schools, the City & County of Honolulu Department of Emergency Management, the Hawai‘i Arts Alliance, the Waikīkī Aquarium, NOAA - Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, and others.
Festival attendees can meet and talk story with local organizations, businesses, artists, farmers, chefs, surfers, and scientists who promote climate change action, resiliency, and happiness in Hawaiʻi - all while indulging in fresh, local grinds, and enjoying musical performances and ʻāina art activities.

The festival will also offer free, interactive workshops and talk story sessions about uplifting youth as environmental leaders, empowering women as collaborative leaders of climate change action, the significance of Oʻahu's place names and ahupuaʻa land management, weaving coconut fronds, decreasing the island’s carbon footprint, and much more!
