Rules for Virtual Participation: All participants will be muted by the moderator. You will be recognized by raising your hand to be recognized by the chair. You can also write comments and questions in the chat box.
Rules of Speaking: Anyone wishing to speak is asked to raise their hand, and when recognized by the Chair, to address comments to the Chair. Speakers are encouraged to keep their comments under three (3) minutes, and those giving reports are urged to keep their reports under three (3) minutes. Please silence all electronic devices.
Note: This 11-member Board requires six (6) members to establish a quorum and to take official Board action. The Board may take action on any agenda item. As required by the State Sunshine Law (HRS 92), specific issues not noted on this agenda cannot be voted on, unless added to the agenda. A two-thirds (2/3) vote eight (8) of this 11-member Board is needed to add an item to the agenda. Items may not be added if they are of major importance and will affect a significant number of people.

FILLING OF VACANCY: One (1) Subdistrict 3: Residents interested in filling a vacant board seat must bring current proof of residency to the board meeting or contact the Neighborhood Commission Office to verify residency. Note: This 11-member Board requires six (6) members to establish a quorum and to take official Board action.

VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. The Bus route changes: Effective August 20, 2023, various bus routes, including routes 2 and 2L will have service changes. For more information, contact thebusstop@honolulu.gov.
B. City and County of Honolulu Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency: This City office is preparing a long-term disaster recovery and post-disaster mitigation plan for Oahu and seeks community input. To learn more, go to: https://www.resilientoahu.org/disasterrecovery. To take the community survey, go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Longterm_disaster_recovery_plan.
C. Board of Water Supply Rate Schedule: BWS is proposing a new five-year rate schedule, and will be making a presentation at the Boards September meeting. For more information, go to: https://www.boardofwatersupply.com/ or email bwsrates@hbws.org.
D. HECO Pole Replacement: HECO will be replacing or installing a pole at 3724 Pukalani Place within the next several weeks. HECO has noted that new poles are often taller and wider than the existing poles in order to allow for adequate spacing between the power lines and to comply with the 2002 National Electric Safety Code and HECOs current construction and maintenance standards.
E. Liquor Commission Application: On August 3, 2023, the City and County of Honolulu Liquor Commission was scheduled to hold a public hearing to consider an application for a Restaurant General (Category No. 2) liquor license for applicant Nana Ai Katsu (3585 Waialae Avenue, Unit A).
F. Kaimuki Community Park Gym Roof Replacement: A project to replace the roof is beginning the week of August 7, 2023 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023. The project will require the closure of the gym and some surrounding areas for the duration of the project, including the park bandstand, adjacent lawn, and some of the pathways.
