University of Hawaii Symphony Orchestra
The University of Hawaii Symphony Orchestra (UHSO) will be performing Mozart’s tuneful Oboe Concerto with soloist, Dr. Alex Hayashi. Additionally, the concert will feature a new work by Joel Neves, “Voices of Kalaupapa,” and Dvorak’s majestic 9th Symphony, “From The New World.”

Composer/Performer Collaboration Concert
Music students enrolled in Composer-Performer Collaboration (MUS 410E) present a concert of premieres. Each piece on the program is the result of a collaboration between performers and composers, in which all have worked closely together throughout the entire creative process, from the initial conception to the final rehearsals.

Senior Recital, Student of Maya Sypert
Soprano Kylie Kwak will be performing her senior recital accompanied by Megumi Padillo, pianist. Her program will feature classical, musical theatre and international repertoire.

The final concert of Fall semester featuring the University of Hawaii Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, the program includes Julie Giroux's Symphony No. 6, "The Blue Marble," an ambitious multi-media work, performed with video.

Piano-Vocal Collaboration teaches student singers and pianists how to work together in a detailed way to create beautiful music. This concert will feature some of the artistic highlights from this semester as they present an array of art songs from Europe, Latin America, and the United States. Students are graduates and undergraduates in our music program.
