SAINT LOUIS SCHOOL RECEIVES $4,000 GRANT
FROM THE ARMED FORCES COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION (AFCEA)



(Honolulu, HI, January 4, 2011) - Saint Louis School has been given a $4,000.00 grant by the Hawaii Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Science and Technology (S&T) Tools Awards program. AFCEA is a professional organization that realizes the importance of encouraging students to enter science and technology careers. Accordingly, the grant will be used to support the School's science department by helping to offset costs for their sixth grade "Grow Hawaii" project, seventh and eighth grade aquaponics project and high school robotics program.

"We know from our own experience how a motivated science teacher can spark interest that becomes a lifelong career," said Jane Ferreira, AFCEA, VP for Education. "We are thankful for the generosity of AFCEA and are equally excited to begin our new science projects," said Lulu Lulu, Science Department chair.
