Dance Painting
Friday, November 8th: 10am-noon.
$15 per student (All Ages. Children age 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult).
At the Art Explorium: 1142 Koko Head Ave
Movement Art is a fantastical exploration where body, mind, artist and canvas come together to create live art! We will be using our bodies-in-motion to Òdance paintÓ on large scale paper. Discover your outer-movement artist with freestyle dancing, and your inner-movement artist with music inspired drawing and choreography. Registration is required.
Movie Screening: "Caine's Arcade" and Build your Own Arcade Night
Friday, November 15th: 6pm-9pm
1142 Koko Head Ave
The Art Explorium is celebrating it's one year anniversary by screening the film, "Cain's Arcade," an inspirational story of a young boy who creates a whole arcade from cardboard boxes. After the screening we will provide boxes for children to create their own arcade. For more information go to arteplorium.org
Clay Creations
Sunday, November 17th & 24th: 10am-11:30am
$25 per student, cost covers both sessions (Ages 5 and up)
At the Art Explorium: 1142 Koko Head Ave
Express yourself through a 3D medium! Students will use low fire clay to make their creative vision come to life. They will learn various hand building techniques, such as assembling clay using the Ôslip and scoreÕ method, and surface design. In the first session, students will create anything they can imagine in clay and in the second session they will add colorful underglazes. Registration is required. Thanksgiving Decorations
Sunday, November 17th: 1-2:30pm
$15 per student (All Ages. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

Your child will be creating beautiful, hand made center pieces to adorn your thanksgiving table. Most of our creations will be made from either natural or recycled materials. LetÕs be creative and explore mixed media art while giving thanks for everything that we have today! Registration is required.
Shippo: Japanese Enameling
Sunday, November 24th: 1pm-3pm
$20 per student (Ages 5 and up)
At the Art Explorium: 1142 Koko Head Ave
The ancient art of Japanese enameling (Shippo) is to apply enamel color on a metal base. YouÕll learn to create jewel-like enamel artwork such as keychains, magnets, boxes, etc. Registration is required.
Natural Holiday Decoration Fun
Sunday, December 1st. 1pm-3pm
$15 per student (Ages 4 and up)

Reduce your holiday waste by creating fun decorations from your own backyard! Children will experience the joy and beauty of nature while having fun making their own creations. These can be used to adorn gifts, hang in your home, or give as a gift to friends. Registration is required.
Seasons Greetings Cards: Collage and Watercolor
Sunday, December 8th. 1pm-3pm
$15 per student (Ages 5 and up)
At the Art Explorium: 1142 Koko Head Ave
Let your kids have fun in designing and creating their own beautiful and individual mixed media greeting cards. Explore and learn more about collage (artform, cut and paste) and different watercolor techniques like wet on wet and wax resist. Mix cut papers, flowing paints and recycled materials to create unique handmade cards to take home. Registration is required.
Sewing and Holiday Ornament Workshop
Sunday, December 15th. 1pm-3pm
$20 per student (Ages 5 and up)
At the Art Explorium: 1142 Koko Head Ave
WeÕll celebrate the season by helping you create your own Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanza ornaments to hang on your tree, decorate your home, or give away as presents. During the workshop, "ME & U Hawaii" will teach you some basic sewing skills to create some beautiful, handmade ornaments. Registration is required.

Art Explorium is a non-profit organization in Kaimuki that provides art opportunities for youth. Stop by and try out our art stations (request a $5 per person coupon>>>).

Art Explorium provides a fun, safe place where children of all ages have the opportunity and the permission to create freely. We firmly believe that art experiences are an important part of every person's growth and development. So... WE provide the space and materials, YOU provide the ideas and make them happen!
Art Explorium strives to be an eco-friendly organization. Many of the art materials in our studio are items that would normally be thrown in the landfill (old pieces of fabric, used bottle caps, small boxes, magazines, ribbon, etc.). We collect these used materials from our friends and local businesses, and Art Explorium visitors give these items a new life as art.
We offer art classes, birthday parties, and field trips to our studio. We also offer Open Studio time - come on in with your family and dabble in one or all of our art stations which offer activities like painting, sculpting, drawing, making mosaics and more. See you there!

Come on by! During Open Studio time you are free to drop in, use our space and materials and explore the process of creating.
We also offer art classes, birthday parties and field trips to our studio!
