HIFI Pop-up Here This Wednesday!
We love it when we get to partner with our friends who do super cool things in the community! This week we are so excited to welcome Toby Portner from HIFI, the Hawaii Fashion Incubator, to our studio as guest artist. Toby will be here on Wednesday, December 4 starting at 2:30 pm for some fashionable holiday fun! She will help us make adorable holiday gift bags out of used magazines. Regular $5 Open Studio rate, no pre-registration required.
Kaimuki Christmas Parade Thursday!
For the first time, Art Explorium is participating in the annual Kaimuki Christmas Parade! The parade will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2013 starting at 6:00 pm along Waialae Avenue from Saint Louis School/Chaminade University to Koko Head Avenue. This is a really fun family event to help kick off the holidays!
Dance Painting Workshop This Friday!
Instructor Harmony will be moving and shaking with our little friends again for a Dance Painting Workshop in our studio this Friday, December 6 from 10 am to 12 pm. This class combines some of the things young children love best: movement, music, and getting messy with paint. This class is open to all ages, $15 registration fee, pre-registration required.
Guest Artist Aunty Lani is Coming Back!
Reuse with Aunty Lani: On Wednesday, December 18 from 2-4 pm, our favorite reuse artist Aunty Lani will be back in our studio doing some special holiday activities including the adorable ornaments you see on the right. Regular $5 Open Studio Rate, no pre-registration required.

• Seasons Greetings Cards: Collage & Watercolor, Sunday, December 8, 1-3 pm, ages 5 & up, $15
• Candy Houses Workshop, Sunday, December 22, 1-2:30 pm, all ages, $15
• Homemade Playdough, Friday, December 27, 9:30-11:00am, all ages, $15
• Making Musical Instruments & Dance Party!, Sunday, December 29, 1-2:30 pm, all ages, $15
• Tie Dye & Making Natural Dyes, Friday, January 3, 9:30-11:00 am, ages 4 & up, $15
Open Studio Hours
• Mon AND Thurs, 9 am - 12 pm
• Mon through Fri, 2 pm - 5 pm
• Sat, 1 pm - 4 pm
We will also be open on Friday, December 20 from 6-9 pm for Third Fridays Kaimuki.

Art Explorium provides a fun, safe place where children of all ages have the opportunity and the permission to create freely. We firmly believe that art experiences are an important part of every person's growth and development. So... WE provide the space and materials, YOU provide the ideas and make them happen!
Art Explorium strives to be an eco-friendly organization. Many of the art materials in our studio are items that would normally be thrown in the landfill (old pieces of fabric, used bottle caps, small boxes, magazines, ribbon, etc.). We collect these used materials from our friends and local businesses, and Art Explorium visitors give these items a new life as art.
We offer art classes, birthday parties, and field trips to our studio. We also offer Open Studio time - come on in with your family and dabble in one or all of our art stations which offer activities like painting, sculpting, drawing, making mosaics and more. See you there!

Come on by! During Open Studio time you are free to drop in, use our space and materials and explore the process of creating.
We also offer art classes, birthday parties and field trips to our studio!
