PROGRAMS @ KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY
SPRING BEGINS WITH A FREE LIBRARY PROGRAM!
Join us for a Daytime Sun Viewing Program. Learn about how the sun works, and then view the sun through specially filtered binoculars and telescopes. See sunspots, filaments and flares (if there are any).
Meet outside on the grass (exact location TBD) and enjoy a complimentary glass of lemonade. All ages are welcome! March 20 at 1:00 p.m.
This program is offered by members of the Institute for Astronomy with funding from the UH Mānoa Outreach College Statewide Cultural Extensions Program and the Friends of the Library of Hawai`i.

NEW DRIVE-UP BOOKDROP WITH SPECIAL FEATURE
Library books, plus DVDs and CDs may now be returned in the new drive-up bookdrop--same location in the upper parking lot, exiting on 13th Street.
This new addition to customer service was purchased with funds raised by the Friends of the Kaimuki Public library.

Story time will be every Sunday in March at 10:30 a.m. Listen to stories and make crafts.

THIS TAX SEASON, SUPPORT YOUR PUBLIC LIBRARIES
Contribute to the "Hawai`i Public Libraries Fund;" when filing your 2013 State income tax return (Form N-11, N-13 or N-15) you may contribute $2 for an individual or $4 for a joint return.
The library has a limited amount and variety of 2013 federal and state tax forms and booklets on a shelf in the entryway. Please come by to get yours, or print from the IRS website on internet computers. The selection is limited to what is on the shelf, although more of this selection may arrive.

Wed & Thu 10 am -- 6 pm, EXCEPT closed November 28th*

Always Closed on Saturdays
About Kaimuki Public Library
The mission of the Hawaii State Public Library System is to provide Hawaii's residents, in all walks of life, and at each stage of their lives, with access to education, information, programs and services, and to teach and nurture the love of reading and the habit of life-long learning.

Sun - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Mon - 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Tues - 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Wed. - 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Thurs.- 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Fri- 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (beginning 12/7/2012)
Sat & State Holidays - Closed
Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.

On person with library material or call 733-8422, then press "0" -- have your library material with you when calling. For online renewals, use www.librarieshawaii.org and "my account" and your library card no.
