PROGRAMS @ KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY
COMPUTER TUTORIALS
Sign up at the reference desk for Friday-morning (10:00 a.m., 1 hour max) tutorials in essential computer use, e-mail, surfing the Web, Microsoft Office basics, or an elementary computer-use topic of your choice.
TEENS CAN CHOOSE!
Teens: watch for updates on choosing movies for the Young Adult (grades 7 through 12) Library Fall Film Series on Third Fridays scheduled to start in September--now sponsored by Whole Foods Kahala.
SUNDAY STORY TIMES
Story time will be on break during August. The next series will run each Sunday, at 10:30 a.m., from September 7 through December 14.
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
The 2014 Summer Reading Program at Kaimuki ended on July 18.
A combined total of 884 participants in the Adult, Young Adult, and Children's divisions read or listened to 12,166 books, e-books, and audiobooks. That's 13 titles per person or 1,738 titles per week!

POP-UP BOOK SALES
FOKPL held four "pop-up" book sales on Tuesday evenings during July which grossed a combined total of approximately $700, which will fund programs and other library needs. On FOKPL's behalf, thank you for your support. Stay tuned for more book sale dates!

It's election time. Pick up your Wikiwiki Voter Registration & Permanent Absentee and Wikiwiki Absentee Application next to the public photocopier or at the reference desk.
AUGUST HOLIDAY
Kaimuki Public Library will be closed on Friday, August 15, for Statehood Day.
SUNDAY STORY TIMES
Story time will be every Sunday through July (except holidays) at 10:30 a.m. Children 7 yrs old and under can listen to stories and make crafts. All children should be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Mon & Tue 10 am -- 8 pm, EXCEPT closed November 11th*
Wed & Thu 10 am -- 6 pm, EXCEPT closed November 28th*

About Kaimuki Public Library
The mission of the Hawaii State Public Library System is to provide Hawaii's residents, in all walks of life, and at each stage of their lives, with access to education, information, programs and services, and to teach and nurture the love of reading and the habit of life-long learning.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
