PROGRAMS @ KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY
CARD-MAKING WORKSHOP
On Tuesday, January 27, at 6:00 p.m., paper-crafting instructor Sharie Torres will teach attendees how to create three unique greeting cards during this 90-minute hands-on workshop in the Adult Reading Area. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required (phone or in-person at the reference desk) and limited to fifteen (15). Adults and children ages 10 and up with an accompanying parent or caregiver. Sponsored by Friends of Kaimuki Public Library.
SUNDAY STORY TIMES RESUME!
Storytimes will be held on Sundays from January 25 through July 12, at 10:30 a.m. Children through age 7 accompanied by an adult are welcome. Please call the library 2 weeks prior to the program to request a sign-language interpreter if needed.
FRIENDS OF KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Friends of Kaimuki Public Library will hold a meeting of the general membership on Monday, January 26, at 6:00 p.m., in the Young Adult Room. The meeting will be open to all interested individuals.
FUTURE LIBRARY PROGRAMMING
2015 will feature lots of interesting and fun programs, such as a feng shui presentation and book presentation/forum. Stay tuned for details in the February and March issues!
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
The library will close at 5 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, and will be closed on Thursday, January 1 (New Year's Day), and Monday, January 19 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day).
COMPUTER TUTORIALS
Sign up at the reference desk for Friday-morning (10:00 a.m., 1 hour max) tutorials in essential computer use, e-mail, surfing the Web, Microsoft Office basics, or any other introductory computer-use topic of your choice. You need a valid HSPLS card to participate.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
