VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
The library is recruiting volunteers to work a flexible schedule at the Children's and Young Adult (YA) Summer Reading Program (SRP) desks from May 31 through July 17 during library open hours.
Volunteers should preferably be: 1) Children's SRP: students age 14 and up, or 2) YA SRP: entering the seventh grade in Fall 2015, graduating from high school in the 2015 school year, or continuing students in intervening grades.
Duties include registering SRP participants, explaining the SRP, awarding incentives, and updating number of titles participants report. Volunteers must be able to enter simple numeric data into an Excel spreadsheet.
Volunteer hours can count toward student community-service time and outstanding performance can earn volunteers college-application recommendations.
Pick up a volunteer application at the library, or call and ask for Mysti (Children) or Roberta (YA) for more information.
