Three Shows To Keep You Connected
One-third of HPRʻs programs are locally produced and/or hosted. In addition to our local music shows on HPR-1 and HPR-2, our local talk shows serve an important role in keeping you connected to your community.

Whether you live in our state or far from our shores, you’ll know what’s happening in Hawaiʻi with The Conversation, a daily hour of locally focused discussions of public affairs, ideas, culture and the arts. Guests from around the block and around the world provide perspectives on life in the islands and issues that have not yet reached Hawaiʻi. Recent shows have covered fixing long voting lines, the future of Hawaiʻi tourism, and an update on Honoluluʻs rail project.

Airs weekdays at 11 am on HPR-1.

Making informed health choices can be tough. On The Body Show, Dr. Kathleen Kozak makes them a little easier to understand with the latest medical information and knowledgeable guests. Recent shows have looked at handling stress during COVID, understanding Medicare plans, and patient navigators.

Airs Mondays at 6:30 pm on HPR-1.

Bytemarks Café showcases the innovation and creativity in Hawaiʻi's tech community. Hosted by Burt Lum, the show has recently explored running an accelerator during the pandemic, bringing kamaʻaina home through remote work, and intern ideas for displaced workers.

Airs Wednesdays at 6:30 pm on HPR-1.
We make it easy to listen, no matter what your schedule is.
Tune in on the radio, stream on your smart speaker, or listen on-demand on our website or on the HPR mobile app.
