Stop By for an Air Hug & Free Art Supplies!
Happy Holidays! Over the past 8 years our community has generously donated art supplies to Art Explorium. Because we are moving out of our current studio, we need to downsize and we would like to share these supplies with YOU! We will hold a special event later this month and give each family one FREE bag of quality art materials (don't worry, we won't give you toilet paper rolls or cereal boxes, we promise). Photos of contents of two sample bags are below (please note that no two bags are alike... these are just examples).
Event Details
Who: Our Art Explorium Friends (that means you!)
What: Art Supply Giveaway and Goodbye to our Art Explorium Studio
When: Sunday, December 20, stop by anytime between 1pm to 4pm
Where: Art Explorium, 1142 Koko Head Avenue
Parking: The standard lots and street parking. Bonus: metered street parking is FREE on Sundays!
Bags will include a surprise mix of colorful items such as fabric, paper, art project templates, cool creative reuse items, and more! We will also include an Art Explorium apron or t-shirt in as many bags as possible. No two bags will be alike. We ask that one person pick up per family, and take one bag per family, while supplies last. First come first served. No appointment necessary but please practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times. We will be outside on the sidewalk so please do not linger as we don't want to violate any rules or regulations. If you can't use all the items please share with someone who can.
See you soon!

Art Projects for the Holidays
The Holidays are such a fun time to get creative! We will be sharing lots of project ideas on our Instagram and Facebook pages in the coming weeks so be sure to follow us on social media.
As you may know we have a bunch of FREE Earth-Friendly Art Lesson Plans that we share online with both teachers and parents. We took five of these lesson plans and came up with creative ways to make them festive for the holidays! For example, our Endangered Species Light Catchers project could be used as a gift tag, an ornament, or a holiday bookmark. You can find the lesson plans, our suggestions for making them more holiday-ish, and all of our other art lesson plans on our web site.

Check Out Our Free Art Video Tutorials!
We have really enjoyed making simple art tutorial videos for you to try from home. We try to use supplies that are easily accessible but some projects do require a little adult help. Find all of these video tutorials on our Art Explorium website or you can also subscribe to our Art Explorium YouTube Channel. Some of our latest videos include Paper Fortune Tellers (above), Inverted Collages, Paper Leaf Decorations, Origami Bookmarks, and Woven CD Suncatchers! We would love to see photos of your keiki doing these projects so please send them to info@artexplorium.org or tag us on Facebook or Instagram (@artexplorium).

Description
Nurturing tomorrow's creative thinkers
Art Explorium provides a fun, safe place where children of all ages have the opportunity and the permission to create freely. We firmly believe that art experiences are an important part of every person's growth and development. So... WE provide the space and materials, YOU provide the ideas and make them happen!
Art Explorium strives to be an eco-friendly organization. Many of the art materials in our studio are items that would normally be thrown in the landfill (old pieces of fabric, used bottle caps, small boxes, magazines, ribbon, etc.). We collect these used materials from our friends and local businesses, and Art Explorium visitors give these items a new life as art.
We offer art classes, birthday parties, and field trips to our studio. We also offer Open Studio time - come on in with your family and dabble in one or all of our art stations which offer activities like painting, sculpting, drawing, making mosaics and more. See you there!
General Information
Come on by! During Open Studio time you are free to drop in, use our space and materials and explore the process of creating.
We also offer art classes, birthday parties and field trips to our studio!
Notes
Hours and price subject to change without notice.
Ample metered parking is available on the street or in the lot behind our building.
