Kapi‘olani Community College Office of Continuing Education and Training - Coming Summer Culinary Courses
Join us for Zumba! Led by Frances Hokama, a Zumba instructor since 2018, she holds Zumba and Zumba Gold licenses and is working on her AFAA Group Fitness Instructor certification. Her fun, uplifting sessions combine Latin and international music with easy-to-follow dance moves, providing a full-body workout with aerobic, interval, and resistance training. This course will help you build stamina, improve coordination, relieve stress, and strengthen your core.
Everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace. Registration is required. Come join the party and dance your way to a healthier you!
Required: Wear sneakers and bring a bottle of water for hydration.
Optional: Towel for perspiration

This course focuses on the application of industry standard software, concepts and principles in the field of digital visual art and animation. Students will acquire an array of strategies and methodologies to develop their creative skills, produce compelling visual content, and gain a deeper understanding of the artistic and technical aspects required for success in the digital art and animation industry.
Prerequisites:
Students must have the following to enroll in this course:
• A recent model desktop or laptop (2019 or later) either Windows or Mac (no tablets/ipads)
◦ Windows: 11 65-bit, 8GB of RAM, 4 GB of GPU memory OR
◦ Mac: Multicore Intel or Apple Silicon processor (2 GHz or faster processor with SSE 4.2 or later) with 64bit support, MacOS Big Sur (version 11.0) or later, 8 GB of RAM, GPU with Metal Support and 1.5 GB of GPU memory.
• A reliable, secure internet connection sufficient for Zoom meetings and a quiet place to conduct meeting.
• Basic computer skills
• Be comfortable using a computer, navigating the operating system, managing files and folders, use software applications, and connect to the Internet using various methods such as Wi-Fi.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Course Dates: July 8 - August 19, 2024
Location: Completely online. Live online sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:00pm
